Artist's Description
I named this image in honor of my late mom Gloria, who passed away on October 13, 2020. I took this 2 days before her birthday, in September of this year, as I frequented the beaches after I dropped her off to the hospital for her treatment in the mornings.
About Gian Smith
I was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas with an innate affinity for the world around me. I am intrigued by this life God has given me, and I feel blessed to be able to capture a fleeting moment that can be preserved and enjoyed months, and perhaps even years after it has passed. The photographic, and digital images I create strikes a balance between the real and the surreal......a fusion if you will, of parallel worlds available for exploration. I have to give credit to God for the ability to see the world the way I do, which is sometimes difficult to explain.
